Synopsis:
The Blackhawks investigate reports of a Blackhawk Sphinx deep in the South American jungle. They locate the sphinx in a village they had visited once before to help during a hurricane. The natives built the sphinx in tribute.

When the Blackhawks arrive in the village, the natives attack. The team learns that the natives were threatened by the sphinx. Further investigation leads Blackhawk to discover that criminals perpetrated a hoax in order to locate hidden treasure in the Inca temple. The Blackhawks track down the thieves and earn the trust of the villagers once again.
