Synopsis:
Ted Knight is inducted into the Liar’s Club, where members tell each other lies for amusement. Ted tells the members that he is Starman. The other members expand upon what they believe is Ted’s lie, and each claims Starman tries to kill them.

Later Ted receives a call from Cliff Henry, who claims to have witnessed Starman kill Vardon, the Liar’s Club chairman. Starman becomes a hunted man, and each club member has his lie ironically come true. Starman finally clears himself of wrongdoing by proving that Vardon is behind the murder attempts. He had stolen money and was attempting to remove the only men who could pin the crime on him.
