History:
Chuck Grayson was the assistant of Dr. Bob Crane. When Crane was shot in his lab, Grayson saved his friend's life by transferring his brain into a robot body. Thus, Crane became Robotman.

Grayson continued as Robotman's confidant for many years. Eventually Robotman disappeared. When Grayson found that he himself was dying, he had his body preserved. When Robotman eventually returned, Grayson's body became host to Crane's brain.
