History:
Latest descendant of a family that had been cursed as witches and warlocks over the centuries by those too ignorant to understand advanced science, Terry Thirteen was charged by his father to never believe that his life was governed by anything other than natural causes.

When his father perished in a fiery car crash, apparently another victim of the Curse of the Thirteen Family, Terry closed his ancestral home, Doomsbury Hall, and moved to the city. Having spent years investigating psychic phenomena and convinced that all "supernatural manifestations" could be explained, Terry opened an office and went into business as the "Ghost-Breaker".

For the next several years Terry traveled the world, repeatedly proving that the so-called ghosts and spirits that he confronted along the way were, in fact, nothing of the kind. Terry was undefeated as a ghost-breaker until he crossed the path of a being known only as the Phantom Stranger, whose apparent mystical powers were beyond Terry's ability to explain. After repeated frustrating confrontations with the mysterious Man in Black, Terry retired for a time from ghost-breaking to write several successful books about his experiences. But recently, at the urging of his wife, Marie, Terry has returned to the occupation that gained him his greatest fame.

Powers:
An average athlete and hand-to-hand combatant, Terry Thirteen's greatest abilities are his razor-sharp powers of observation and his keen analytical mind.
