History:
An abnormally intelligent chimpanzee raised by noted animal trainer Fred Thorpe, Bobo came into the care of Sheriff Edward Chase when Thorpe was savagely murdered. Using his instincts and almost-human intelligence, Bobo led Sheriff Chase to Thorpe's killer and became the lawman's constant companion and unofficial assistant.

Over the years, Detective Chimp solved numerous cases until advancing age began to slow him down. After a chance meeting with his idol, Rex the Wonder Dog, during which the two animals unwittingly drank from the lost and legendary Fountain of Youth, Bobo found himself a young chimp again, starting life all over. At this writing, he continues to live in Florida, making monkeys out of local criminals.
