Synopsis:
Hal Jordan continues his quest to find purpose. Guy shows up to insult Hal for not using his ring. The two enter a diner where their argument escalates. Finally, to settle their disagreement, the pair remove their rings and step outside to fight. Hal gets the best of Guy, but they are both arrested.

With the two Green Lanterns incarcerated, two diners grab the rings and begin causing havoc around town. Hal gets the local sheriff to release him. He then uses his will power to stop the man in possession of his ring. Hal and Guy get their rings back, and Guy is impressed by Hal's abilities even without the ring.

Meanwhile on Oa, the mad guardian uses his expanded power to tear a city on Maltus from its foundations and drag it through space.
