Synopsis:
Superman interrupts a robbery at the Diamond Expo by the Fearsome Five. The villains have two new members Charger and Deuce who want to kill Superman. The others are not interested in murdering him, so they leave with the jewels.

Clark Kent returns to the Daily Planet where he has been recently missing assignments. His duties as Superman have been interferring with his personal and professional life. Perry White warns Clark that he needs to improve his performance.

Superman later encounters the Fearsome Five again aboard a luxury ocean liner. This time he is forced to miss his parents' anniversary party and the villains escape again. Clark returns to Smallville after the fight, where Jonathan Kent consoles him. Jonathan's pep talk lifts Clark's spirits. With renewed energy, Superman returns to Metropolis, finds the Fearsome Five, and apprehends them.
