Comments:
This adventure does not actually happen. The Justice League solves an imaginary case posed by one of its fans.
The Maestro is not to be confused with Anton Allegro, the villainous maestro who first appears in Justice League of America #163, or with the Maestro who first appears in Justice League of America #237.
Synopsis:
Three Justice League teams, on their way to a meeting, foil robberies masterminded by a villain called the Maestro, who uses his unique music to make the super-heroes dance uncontrollably. Trailing the villain to his cavern hideaway, the members are trapped in bubbles which are proof against their powers. The situation seems hopeless, but it turns out that these happenings are merely part of a story written by JLA fan and amateur cartoonist Jerry Thomas, who has sent his idea for an inescapable doom-trap to the heroes, in hopes that they can come up with a solution for it.
After wracking their brains for an answer, the League is at a loss, until the Atom points out that he was too small to have heard the Maestro’s music at one point of the story – which would indicate that something else was causing the effect. Thus aware of the true source of the villain’s power – a cosmi-radio beam affecting the motor centers of the brain – the heroes are able to immunize themselves, escape the trap, and capture the Maestro.
