This story is continued from Mister Miracle #11.

Synopsis:
Scott Free returns to his shop to find Oberon and the Funky Flashman. Funky wants Scott to sign a contract. Scott refuses. The conversation is interrupted by the arrival of uniform soldiers who attack Mister Miracle earlier. A fight begins which destroys the building. The soldiers are after the Head, who has been hiding in Scott's shop. During the battle, the Head escapes.

After the soldiers are escorted to jail, the townspeople of Bailey demand reparations for the damage to nearby buildings. Scott has no money, so he is forced to sign Flashman's contract and return to show business.
