Comments:
This storyline was meant to continue, but Swamp Thing's title was abruptly cancelled with this issue. The final page reveals that the next issue would have featured a meeting with Hawkman. The script and the surviving unfinished pages for this unpublished story were printed in Swamp Thing:The Bronze Age Vol. 2 TPB.
This story is continued from Swamp Thing #23.
Synopsis:
Alec Holland is no longer Swamp Thing. The combined efforts of his brother Edward and his assistant Ruth have cured him. However, agents of the Colossus organization are still in pursuit. They want the bio-restorative formula for their own use. Their agent Thrudvang attacks. Alec and Ruth are caught up in the battle. Alec is no match for his attacker physically, but he manages to lure the monster onto a rope bridge which he then collapses, sending the creature falling into the river far below.
