Synopsis:
Sheep farmer Josh Morgan and his friends murder a local banker, then blame the death on a wolf. Jonah Hex is hired to hunt down the wolf in the mountains. While searching for it, Hex is attacked by indians. A wolf and a mountain man named Bearclaw Jackson rescue him. Bearclaw then nurses Jonah back to health.

When Jonah is recovered, Bearclaw explains that it was men that killed the banker, not the wolf. Jonah brings Bearclaw and the wolf back to town. He then tricks one of Morgan's men into confessing in public. Morgan shoots Bearclaw, then he is killed by the wolf. Jonah kills the other murderers. The wolf escapes, but it is too late to save Bearclaw's life.
