This story continues in Arion, Lord of Atlantis #7.

Synopsis:
Having successfully escaped Atlantis, Arion and his friends make their way south guided by magic. General Balar wants to go north instead to the nearest city friendly to the exiled King D'Tilluh. Balar and D'Tilluh part ways with the group, while Arion leads Chian, Wyynde, and Mara on a quest.

Arion and his companions soon encounter a tribe of sub-men living in the caves near a valley populated by dinosaurs. Arion allows himself to be captured. He then offers service to Grondar, the leader of the sub-men. He offers to help fight the dinosaurs, so that the sub-men can feed themselves. Once successful, Arion's friends are released.

Back in Atlantis, Garn breaks into Arion's tower and unlocks secrets of magic. Using what he learns, Garn is able to bring a demon from the Darkworld to Atlantis. The demon seeks out Arion and possesses Chian. When her will proves to be too powerful, the demon takes control of Grondar. As the battle with the demon unfolds, Arion and Chian are transported to the Darkworld where he stands before the citadel of his father Caculha.
