Synopsis:
Adam Strange and Alanna arrive on Earth in Hawkman's spaceship. Soon after their arrival, Alanna is transported back to Rann just as Adam is usually drawn back to Earth. Adam catches the next Zeta-Beam to Rann, where he finds Alanna is avoiding him.

Adam's old foe Mortan uses a Negative Zeta-Beam on Alanna before she left for Earth. When the energy expired, she returned to Rann. However, the Negative energy also causes her to do the opposite of what she intends. This causes her to avoid Adam. Mortan's scheme is to get them together where the Negative Zeta-Beam energy will cause an explosion. Adam eventually deduces the cause of Alanna's plight. He destroys Mortan's Zeta-Beam weapon, which nullifies the energy in Alanna. Adam and Alanna can now safely touch, but Adam is returned to Earth when the Zeta-Beam wears off again.
