Synopsis:
While exploring some ancient caverns on Rann, Adam Strange and Alanna discover advanced devices near primitive cave paintings. Suddenly, a time warp appears and transports both explorers back to ancient Rann. They meet a race of cavemen, then they are captured by a race of intelligent robots.

The robots explain that they were created by a intelligent race of humans, but they overcame their masters. The remaining human devolved into cavemen, while the robots ruled Rann. The robots plan to kill Adam, but he uses a yellow substance found in the cave to disable them. The cave men see Adam use the substance against the robots. He speculates that the cave men must use it to overthrow the robot dictators.

When the Zeta-Beam begins wearing off, the time warp reappears, bringing Adam and Alanna back to their own time period. Adam then returns to Earth.
