Synopsis:
A Navy destroyer with Clark Kent aboard heads out to sea to battle the Japanese. On deck, Clark meets Shep Sheppard a former football star for Metropolis University. Shep explains that two of his teammates are also in the Navy. One is a pilot, the other is aboard a submarine. The three football players always competed with one another and each believes that his role in the Navy is the most important.

When the enemy fleet is spotted, Al Wade and his submarine use their torpedos. The fleet is severely damaged, but Al's submarine is sunk. The crew sends up a signal buoy which is spotted by pilot Dan Ryan. Shep and his ship then come to rescue the submarine crew.

When the enemy approaches Superman delays them until the rescue can be finished. The American Navy then arrives and wins the fight with the Japanese. The three teammates are reunited on deck and have a renewed sense of teamwork.
