Synopsis:
One day Clark Kent is forced to leave home by his foster father, Jonathan Kent. Clark believes that his father’s pride has been hurt by Clark’s deeds as Superboy.
Clark gets a ride to Metropolis from Joe Crane. While stopped for gas, Clark spots an emergency. When he returns, after preventing a catastrophe, Crane has driven off with Clark’s suitcase which carries his extra Superboy costume.
Before he can pursue Crane, Clark is arrested as a suspected thief and thrown in jail. From his cell, Superboy sees that Crane is planning to sell the costume and uncovered his secret identity. After performing several deeds from his cell, his foster parents arrive to take him home.
Jonathan only pretended to be angry with Clark because some crooks were monitoring the house. He feared they would uncover Clark’s secret identity. Free from jail, Superboy retrieves his stolen costume, convincing Crane it was a fake. He also learns that the crooks, watching his house, are looking for a treasure map left by the Madman Gang. Superboy thwarts their plans and recovers the stolen loot. His parents welcome him home.
