Synopsis:
Superman, Jimmy Olsen, and a thief named Count D'ort have their Valentine's Day gifts mixed up. The Count has stolen a diamond necklace which Superman gives to Lois. Superman intended to give her an insulting card, so that he could impress Lois as Clark instead. However, the card is delivered by Jimmy to his sweetheart Betty Roxmore. When Betty opens the insulting card, she becomes angry at Jimmy.

Count D'ort discovers that the stolen necklace is gone too and believes that Jimmy has it. Betty's father was the real owner of the necklace and also believes Jimmy stole it. Both the police and the crooks go after Jimmy. Count D'ort captures him and Lois too, but Superman helps them escape. He also makes Jimmy look like a hero in front of Betty.

The package mix-up is then sorted out. Jimmy and Betty get back together, but Lois believes the insulting card came from Clark which earns him a cold shoulder.
