Synopsis:
Zatara attends the stage show of Mento a mind-reader. Mento demonstrates his ability to read Zatara's mind, then calls another audience member on stage. The volunteer is Monocle, the leader of a criminal gang. Fearing Mento will read the mind of his boss, Monocle's assistant Loopy shoots Mento. The resulting panic allows the crooks to escape. Zatara tracks them down and captures them, explaining that Mento's abilities were nothing more than a trick.
