Comments:
J'onn J'onzz takes on a new secret identity beginning in this story as Marco Xavier, underworld agent.

Synopsis:
The Martian Manhunter is recruited by the government to expose a criminal organization known as Vulture. The only known connection to Vulture is wealthy playboy Marco Xavier. J'onn follows Xavier and watches him plunge to his apparent death in a car crash. Seizing upon the opportunity, J'onn uses his powers of disguise to become Xavier.

J'onn is soon contacted by an agent of Vulture. The agent, Senor Mendez, pays Xavier to pass along information about a gold shipment. J'onn foils their plan and captures Mendez along with his men. However, Vulture's faceless leader Mr. V remains at large. J'onn continues to pose as Xavier in hopes that he will be contacted by Vulture again.
