Comments:
Flash uses his cosmic treadmill for the first time in this story. The device allows Flash to control his time travel abilities with special vibrations. The machine can be set to travel forward or backwards through time.

Synopsis:
Flash has desgined a cosmic treadmill which allows him to better control his time travel ablities. He uses the machine to travel into the future and discovers Earth under attack from an alien race known as the Dokris. The Dokris have sent a hive device to prehistoric Earth which has eliminated all radioactive material. The Earthmen’s atomic weapons now are useless against the invaders.

Flash returns to his own time, where atomic power is also disabled. He enlists the help of Kid Flash to defeat the invaders. Kid Flash travels back through time to destroy the hive device. Flash travels back to the future to assist the human defenders.

When he arrives in the past, Kid Flash helps a trapped birdman escape from another creature. The birdman befriends Kid Flash and saves him from a giant bee. The boy speedster tries to get the help of the bird people to find the hive, but he is knocked unconscious from the bee sting of the giant bee.

In the future, Flash helps a group of humans avoid capture from the Dokris. He is captured in the process and kept in a cell from which he is unable to escape. He has an atomic pistol which begins to function again. Flash escapes his jail and assists the humans of ridding the world of the invaders.

The weapon worked only because Kid Flash was revived by the birdmen from the poison stinger. Together, he and the birdmen locate and destroy the hive machine. When he returns home he meets his mentor to compare notes.
