Synopsis:
Private detective Dan Delta breaks into the hide-out of Nails Harrigan to arrest the gang leader. However, Nails has a piece of Kryptonite which weakens Delta. Nails believes that Dan is Superman and plans to ransom him back to Metropolis for a million dollars.

The real Superman finds Dan who explains that an atomic accident has made Kryptonite poisonous to him. Superman replaces Dan, so when Nails tries to kill him, Superman is invulnerable. Superman then switches places with Dan again, and continues his super duties secretly.

When the ransom is dropped off, Superman is inside the money crate. The crooks try to use the Kryptonite against him, but Superman has already coated it with lead. Superman apprehends the gang and rescues Delta.
