Synopsis:
Movie star Ann Blyth performs in the role of a mermaid. While swimming, she witnesses pirates using a submarine disguised as an octopus. The pirates try to kill her, but Superman rescues her. Lois believes the situation was a publicity stunt.

Later, Ann stumbles upon the pirates again. She is caputred. Ann calls Superman for help. He rescues her again. Ann and Superman then find the pirates at an amusement park where they have been hiding. Superman apprehends the crooks then donates the pirates ill-gotten gold to a home for boys.
