Part 2: "The Death of a Hero"

Synopsis:
Bruce Wayne's father Dr. Thomas Wayne creates an anti-Kryptonite serum for Superboy. Before he can perfect the serum, Lex Luthor steals it with a Superboy robot and kills Dr. Wayne in the process. Bruce believes Superboy stole the serum and blames him for his father's death. Bruce vows vengeance and trains to becomes Batman.
When he reaches adulthood, Batman uses his detective ability to gain evidence against Superman. He finds Superman's Fortress of Solitude, but he can't locate the serum which would prove Superboy was responsible for the theft.
Batman teams with Luthor to trap Superman. The Man of Steel is captured and held with Kryptonite. However, Luthor makes a mistake and reveals that he was behind the murder of Thomas Wayne. Batman frees Superman, but not before Luthor kills him. With his dying breath Batman apologizes to Superman for his mistake.
