Synopsis:
Clark Kent asks Betty, the most popular girl in school, to a dance. She turns him down, but when her date takes ill, she accepts Clark's invitation. Embarassed that she is going with Clark, Betty shows off while ice skating. When she falls into the water Clark jumps in after her. Superboy rescues Betty, who believes Clark has caught a cold from the icy water and breaks their date.

Clark tries to come up with a solution to the problem. He visits Betty's father, who is a doctor and can declare him healthy enough to attend the dance. However, the doctor is helping a crook who has kidnapped Betty. Superboy rescues Betty and her father from the crooks, then escorts Betty to the dance.
