Synopsis:
Johnny and Tubby are invited to the old town of Nugget Notch for an exhibition of collectibles. The town's history dates back to the time of Spanish conquistadores and includes a legendary treasure. Tubby brings a collection of rare diner menus to the exhibition including one for the Nugget Notch hotel.

Johnny discovers that the convention organizer Carl Bross is using the exhibition to gather clues about the location of the treasure. Tubby's menu holds the last clue needed. Johnny stops Bross from stealing the treasure. He then helps Dan Tupper, the rightful owner, discover it. Dan then uses the treasure to finance the town.
