Synopsis:
While returning from a meeting of the Green Lanterns, Earth’s Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, stops in the tiny country of Modora to purchase a rare stamp for his friend Pieface. As Green Lantern searches the town for a stamp, he comes across an old clockmaster. Using his power ring, Green Lantern learns that the clockmaster’s former apprentice Bito Wladon has gone to America to gain recognition for his country. Bito has mastered the science of nucleo-sonics and has developed a powerful sonic weapon. Bito plans to steal the materials for the weapon from America.

When Green Lantern returns to America, he discovers Bito has begun to carry out his plan, as the villainous Sonar. Green Lantern tracks Sonar to a space laboratory where materials have just been stolen. Sonar knocks out GL with a supersonics punch and escapes.

Later, at his hideout, Bito reads a local newspaper and is angered by the fact that his country Modora is still ignored. He builds a tuning fork gun to help him defeat Green Lantern, in case GL turns up at his final robbery. When Green Lantern does arrive, Sonar uses the gun which creates an illusion that everything turned yellow. Green Lantern is taken aback by the trick, but he is able to overcome the illusion and pursue Sonar.

Green Lantern tracks down Sonar and captures him using a waterspout. In prison, Sonar is happy to learn that news of his deeds brought attention to Modora. The citizens of Modora reward Green Lantern with the rare Modoran stamp, which GL gives to Pieface.
