Synopsis:
Clark Kent is sent to Coast Institute for a news story. When an earthquake threatens the building, Superman goes into action. Following his success in protecting the building, Superman is introduced to Rufus Caesar, a mathematician and fan of the Man of Steel who predicted the save. Superman agrees to visit Caesar's home and is tricked into activating a device which leaves him paralyzed. With Superman under his control, Caesar begins siphoning off his super powers. Instead of resisting, Superman allows Caesar to take them all and burn himself out. He then breaks the paralysis which had kept him immobile. The incident leaves Caesar's mind destroyed.
