Synopsis:
Lois Lane is captured by some bank robbers and held prisoner . Superman arrives to save her and is unaffected by the Kryptonite the crooks try and use against him.

After rounding up the gang, Superman explains to Lois that he is a robot. He claims that the real Superman died two years ago. Jimmy and Perry overhear the conversation as do other people from the Daily Planet. Superman’s friends promise to keep this a secret.

Word does get out and the underworld plans a trap for the robot. It is destroyed causing the world to mourn the loss of Superman. Clark Kent visits an attorney and finds a letter to be opened upon Superman’s death. The letter was left by a armored car robber and reveals the location of the loot.

With the loot safely located by police, Clark returns to the planet and tells the staff that Superman is still alive. They go outside and see the Man of Steel. Superman explains that he faked his death so that the money could finally be recovered.
