Synopsis:
A newspaper publisher, Henry Furst, seeks to learn the secret identity of Superman. He talks with numerous people around Metropolis and gathers circumstanial evidence that Clark Kent is the man he is looking for. Furst fakes his death and calls Clark to his bedside. Clark reveals his identity to the dying man, but learns the next day that Furst will recover.
Clark then reveals his identity to Lois and Perry, so that the Daily Planet will break the story before Furst’s paper. When he returns to meet Furst again, he learns that Furst was confused by the medicine he took to fake death and does not believe Clark is Superman. Clark hurries back to the Planet where Lois and Perry admit to be unconvinced by Clark’s earlier confession. Although he has exposed his identity, no one believes him, saving his secret.
