Synopsis:
Superboy takes a trip to Exwell College near Smallville where he substitutes for some of the teachers, allowing them to take a vacation. Professor Blair however is upset that Superboy is being allowed to teach classes. He doesn't believe Superboy is qualified. The Boy of Steel respects the professor despite Blair's obvious dislike for him.

When the school safe is robbed, evidence points to Blair being the thief. Superboy refuses to believe it, but when the school cyclotron is sabotaged, he finds Blair's glasses nearby.

Superboy returns the glasses to Blair and discovers that the professor is blind. He had been faking eyesight for years and feared that Superboy would expose him. Blair's glasses were exposed to radiation from the cyclotron. The radiation miraculously cures Blair's blindness. Superboy then clears Blair by exposing the janitor as the real thief. Blair then shows Superboy his newfound respect by taking a vacation and trusting the Boy of Steel to teach his class.
