Synopsis:
Superboy brings a strange looking monster into Smallville. The monster frightens the Smallville citizens and turns some of them to stone. The public is outraged that the Boy of Steel would allow the monster to walk the streets. After turning eight different people to stone, two other Smallville citizens try and leave town. Superboy carries the monster to them, and the monster’s vision turns them to stone as well.

The authorities confront Superboy and the monster, and they explain what has happened. The monster is an alien from the planet Zaron. His world was nearly destroyed by ten scientists who escaped to Earth years ago. These scientists were disguised as ordinary Earthmen and planned to kill Superboy and rule Earth. The monster was dispatched to execute the wanted criminals. Superboy did not let on because the aliens could read minds of everyone but him. With the stoned aliens aboard his ship, the monster returns to his home planet.
