Synopsis:
An eccentric recluse, Teddy Barometer returns to town after several months in seclusion. A woman he doesn't know slaps him upon seeing him, and gangsters try to gun him down. When the Flash rescues him, he is confused as to why everyone claims to know him including the Fastest Man Alive.

Teddy then remembers that he paid an actor to impersonate him while he was away. After relating the story to the Flash, he learns that his double was kidnapped and held for ransom. The real Teddy then helps the Flash rescue the actor and apprehend the kidnappers. Later Teddy is introduced to the woman, Madge, who slapped him, and they get married soon after.
