Green Lantern learns Batman's secret identity in this story, but uses his power ring to remove the knowledge from his own mind.

Synopsis:
Bruce Wayne attends a lecture by escaped convict John Starr. Starr claims to be innocent and provides the public with proof. Later Starr turns up at Wayne Manor and reveals that he has learned Batman's secret identity. Starr possesses an hourglass with properties that allow it to warp time. Batman agrees to help clear his name.

Green Lantern receives a message from Batman that reveals his secret identity. He travels to Gotham, where he finds Batman injured. GL uses his ring to restore Batman to health, then leaves. He returns moments later to retrieve a lost watch, only to discover that Batman has gone bad. Batman uses Starr's hourglass to defeat GL.

Green Lantern returns to Wayne Manor where he finds Bruce Wayne. Having learned Batman's secret, he questions Bruce and learns that the Batman he fought was an imposter. The real Batman and GL then battle their foe John Starr, the Time Commander.

The Time Commander eliminates the heroes by sending Batman into the future and Green Lantern into the past. GL is able to learn Starr's secret of time control and contacts Batman in the future with his power ring. Working together, they are able to defeat the Time Commander and return themselves to the proper time period.
