Synopsis:
While returning from a space mission, Green Lantern helps to capture two bank robbers making a getaway. When he checks on them at the police station later, he learns that they were decoys paid by the real robber to cover his escape.

Green Lantern tracks the real criminal to the old Corliss mansion, which is believed to be haunted. He confronts the criminal, who bumps an old grandfather clock. As GL moves in to capture his opponent, his power ring malfunctions. The robber eludes GL and hides in a concealed room. The crook springs several traps to get rid of GL. Despite the malfunctioning ring, Green Lantern escapes the traps, but he is eventually forced outside.

Once outside the house, his ring works normally again. From the exterior, he forces out the crook and captures him. He investigates the cause of the malfunctioning ring and discovers that the vibrations from the clock were affecting his ring and reducing the size of anything it created.
