Synopsis:
Hal Jordan takes a weekend trip to visit the relatives of his deceased Air Force friend Bill Davis. One the way he stops a giant water spout as Green Lantern. When he arrives to meet the Davis's, they introduce him to Dorine Clay, a girl they think he should meet. Hal courts Dorine, but is rebuffed.

When Hal finds a link between Dorine and the water spout, he uses his power ring to investigate. He learns that Dorine is an alien from the planet Garon. Garon is ruled by a group called the Headmen that have enslaved Dorine's people. Dorine is hiding on Earth, until she can perfect a means to defeat them.

The Headmen track Dorine to Earth. Green Lantern defeats them and sends them back to their planet. Dorine finishes her device that will break the mind-control, the Headmen use to enslave her people. She returns to Garon to save her people, but requests that GL stay behind, wanting to do it herself.
