Synopsis:
While observing a rocket launch from an observation balloon, an accident causes Clark Kent to fall out. Once out of view of the balloon, Clark begins flying. He spots a hidden valley in the mountains. When he flies closer, he sees a horse and wagon in trouble. Clark rescues them and meets a village of quakers.
Peter Fry, one of the quakers, explains that his ancestors founded the village and have been isolated from the outside world ever since. Only Peter knows that life exists outside the valley, due to a plane crash. Clark joins the village as a blacksmith and earns the admiration of Elizabelle, a local girl.
Clark is happy in the village and doesn't have to pretend meekness. When Peter takes ill, Clark reveals that he is Superman. When Peter awakens, he tells the others about Clark's powers, but everyone thinks that he is delusional.
Clark's rival for Elizabelle, Luke Robb, discovers the plane and learns about life outside the valley. Finding a book on first aid, he asks Clark to perform a blood transfusion to save Peter Fry. The transfusion is a success, but Clark worries that his presence will begin raising more questions. Clark leaves the valley and tells no one on the outside about its existence.
