Comments:
This story is continued from the first story of Action Comics #333.

Van Benson has become the editor of the Daily Planet between this story and the first story of Action Comics #333, so this story must take place immediately following Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane #62.

Synopsis:
Luthor continues his psychological war against Superman. Disguised as a military scientist, Luthor tests Superman's powers proving that they work perfectly. However, Superman flunks the judgment test and considers retirement.

When Superman finally appears to snap and act irrationally, Luthor and Brainiac go to the scene to gloat. Superman was aware of their presence though and learned about Luthor's plan. He attempts to capture the villains, but they escape in Brainiac's saucer.

The villains arrive on Lexor, where they discover that the Man of Steel has arranged for Ardora to lose her memories of Lex's criminal background. Superman's generosity temporarily appeases Luthor, but he vows to battle the Man of Steel in the future.
