Synopsis:
Superboy constructs a space ship which he intends to donate to the Smallville Fair. Before he can donate the gift, he joins Lana and her kid brother Alvin as Clark. When an emergency arises, Clark must use his powers. Lana becomes suspicious, so Clark concocts a story about martians inside the space ship giving Alvin super powers.
Lana doesn't believe the story and demands more proof. Clark uses his powers convertly to make it appear that Alvin has powers. He then pretends to be affected himself. Lana is convinced, but when he leaves to handle another emergency, his scheme begins to unravel.
Lana discovers a Superboy statue that Clark used to trick her. Superboy is then forced to continue his martian story by faking powers for Lana. He then convinces her that he was worried that the aliens were going to use their powers against him in an attempt to conquer the world. He pretends that the statue was used to fool the martians into leaving. Superboy then gets rid of the space ship, and Lana is finally fooled.
