Synopsis:
Clark Kent feels lonely because he can not share his secret with other boys his age or develop close friendships. One day, he saves the life of Freddy Shaw, a new boy, and they become friends. Clark decides to tell Freddy his secret identity. At first it is great to have a playmate, but when Freddy’s criminal brother Joe trys to blackmail Superboy with his secret, the Boy of Steel feels betrayed.
Clark is angry with Freddy, but he learns that he only revealed the secret in a fevered sleep. Freddy dies of this malady, and Superboy is able to save his secret by passing off the boy’s words as a hallucination brought on by the fever. Clark keeps a Freddy Shaw robot as a memento of his friend.
