Comments:
This story takes place shortly after Superboy's public debut.

Synopsis:
When Superboy was still only known to the locals of Smallville, he visits the town of Gulchdale which is populated largely by criminals. Since the crooks are only wanted out of state, they can't be arrested. Superboy helps the sheriff apprehend the crooks by getting them to committ small local crimes. The local jail soon becomes overpopulated. Superboy has to take some of the prisoners to the Smallville prison, until a new jail can be built.
