The Kandorian Look-a-Like Squad appear in this story. No members are identified by name in this story but subsequent stories reveal their names to be Vol-Don, Zol-Lar, Ti-Arra, and Ar-Rone. Lois's double is Van-Zee's wife Sylvia. The Lori Lemaris double was never named and this is her only appearance.

Synopsis:
Jimmy Olsen collects silver objects from each of Superman’s friends and brings them to a secret lab of Professor Potter as part of Operation Silver Kryptonite. Superman overhears the words Silver Kryptonite and beceomes curious. However, the Professor’s lab is lined with lead preventing him from determining what is happening inside. When he finally enters Jimmy reveals a large piece of the newly formed Silver Kryptonite. Superman is worried about the effects the new mineral will have on him, but Jimmy reveals that it merely a box containing silver statuettes of Superman’s closest friends. The statuettes are intended as a gift celebrating the 25th anniversary of the day Superman arrived in Metropolis.
