Synopsis:
Jimmy demonstrates a new device given to him by Brainiac 5 of the Legion of Super-Heroes. While using the device he accidentally turns Perry White invisible for 24 hours. Jimmy then must take Perry's place as the judge in a Miss Universe contest. Jimmy intends to vote for Lucy Lane in the contest, but he and the other judges are compelled to change their votes for Miss Platonia.

Lucy is furious with Jimmy when she loses the contest. Miss Platonia introduces herself to Jimmy and displays strange powers. She reveals that she is an alien and brings Jimmy to her planet. On the way she changes Jimmy into a protoplasm like her people. Perry, who has followed invisibly, manages to save Jimmy from a life on Platonia. They return to Earth, and Jimmy is restored to his natural form.
