Synopsis:
The Jimmy Olsen Fan Club vacations on a remote island. At night they are mysteriously tied up by unbreakable ropes. They manage to contact Jimmy, who comes to their rescue. Jimmy travels to the island on a ship and is dropped off in a bathysphere. As he swims to shore, his leg is injured, but he manages to crawl to his Fan Club and free them.

While the boys recover, Jimmy forages for food, though he is still unable to walk upright. After Jimmy falls asleep, he awakens to find food stacked around him. A statue resembling Jimmy also appears on the island.

When Superman returns from a mission, he picks up Jimmy on the island. Jimmy tells the Man of Steel about the strange events. Superman uncovers a race of giant insects which have been mutated by a meteorite. The bugs thought Jimmy was their god and were trying to please him. Superman seals the creatures underground and keeps their existence a secret with Jimmy.
