Synopsis:
Jackpot Judson and his henchman witness Jimmy Olsen experimenting with a set of magic manacles that give him the power to control another person. Jackpot meets up with another crook, the Detroit Kid. When the Detroit Kid learns about the magic cuffs, he has Jimmy prove their authenticity by using them on him.

Once Jackpot is convinced that the magic cuffs are real, he attempts to buy them from Jimmy. Jimmy finally gives in and sells the cuffs. When Jackpot tries to use them to rob a bank, he learns that they are fake. Superman reveals that he was the Detroit Kid. The hoax was perpetrated in order for Jimmy to get money back from Judson that he had swindled from some pilots. Jimmy returns their money, and Judson is sent to prison.
