Comments:
Larry Lance's detective agency shares space with Dinah's flower shop in this story. This arrangement is shown to begin in the second story of Flash Comics #95, so that story must chronologically precede this one. Likely the stories were written and drawn that way, but published out of order.

Synopsis:
Outside Dinah's flower shop, Dinah and Larry Lance are framed for the murder of a scientist. After fleeing from police, Larry investigates the victim, while Dinah becomes the Black Canary. When she rejoins Larry, he is held prisoner by the woman who framed them. The dead man and his partner, who is also a captive, invented a powerful photon smasher. The woman and her gang intend to use the device for crime. Black Canary, Larry, and the inventor are nearly killed by the weapon, but Black Canary manages to destroy it. She then apprehends the killer and her gang.
