Comments:
The Superman of 2965 is immune to Kryptonite, but is weakened by seawater which has been altered in an atomic war.
Later reprintings of this story place the time as 2495 rather than 2965, presumedly to avoid conflicts with the Legion of Super-Heroes who exist in 2965.
This is the first in a series of Superman of 2965 tales. This story continues in part in the first story of Action Comics #338.
Synopsis:
In the year 2965, one of Superman's descendants takes the mantle of Superman as several of his ancestors have before him. This Superman is Klar Ken T5477, who works for the Daily Interplanetary News. Superman stops a rogue planetoid, then captures two criminals trying to infiltrate his satellite Fortress of Solitude. When he returns to the news center, the computer editor assigns him to cover the story of Muto, a mutant criminal.
