Part 2: "Krypton's Second Doom"
Synopsis:
Earth is threatened when it is discovered that a rogue planet is on a collision course. Superman flies into space and discovers that rogue planet is Krypton. The planet is followed by a red sun which removes Superman's powers. As Superman tries to discover how Krypton can still exist he finds his father Jor-El alive. Before he can finish talking to Jor-El an accident kills his father. Further accidents follow him wherever he goes around the planet. Finally only Superman and his former love Lyla Lerrol are left alive. When Lyla too perishes, Superman destroys the only remaining spacecraft on the planet.
He then discovers that the planet was a duplicate created by Jor-El and populated by androids to fool alien invaders. Superman is relieved that he was not responsible for the death of the people. He finds a lifeboat capable of taking him off the planet. He then escapes before Krypton II crashes into the red sun. Superman then returns to Earth which is now safe.
