Synopsis:
After many years, Superman changes his mind and decides to marry Lois Lane. He makes a serum which gives Lois super powers, and they are happy together. However, the serum has an unforeseen side effect, which eventually kills Lois. Superman is distraught and exiles himself from Earth.
After some time, Superman returns to Earth and resumes his career. When Lana Lang is about to marry a reformed Lex Luthor, Superman cuts in and stops the wedding. He then marries Lana himself. Though Lana is happy, she constantly wonders if Superman still loves Lois. She finally leaves him, but falls into Luthor's clutches. She dies protecting Superman from one of Luthor's traps.
Superman decides never to marry again after two failed attempts. Lori Lemaris also experiences loss when Ronal dies. The two fall in love again, but they are afraid to marry. Finally, a computer predicts happiness for them, so they tie the knot. A short time later, the Phantom Zone villains kill Lori, leaving Superman heartbroken again. He finally develops a safe formula that would have saved the life of one person, but it is too late for him to save any of his wives.
