Synopsis:
Luthor designs a device which will give himself super powers. He is worried that the device will have a harmful effect or possibly kill him, so he tests it on Clark Kent first. Clark realizes the device works, so he uses his powers publicly to gather great wealth. Everyone is convinced that the device gave him super-greed as well. Luthor is ready to use the device on himself, until Clark gives his gathered money to charity in an act of super-generosity. Luthor does not want to be generous, so he destroys the device. The effect wears off on Clark, and he pretends to return to normal, even though he already has super powers.
