Synopsis:
Professor Arnold Hugo returns and uncovers a hidden mountain cavern where three giant cavemen are frozen in ice. Hugo uses a machine that transfers the power of the cavemen to him, causing him to grow into an indestructible giant. J'onn J'onzz follows Hugo to the cave, but is unable to stop him in giant form.

While Hugo leaves the cave to terrorize the city of Mayville, J'onn recovers. He sees the giant cavemen, who are able to escape the ice which has imprisoned them for centuries. J'onn is unable to stop the giants, but he leads them to Mayville. J'onn then evacuates the town and starts a fight between the cavemen and Hugo. The professor constructs a device to refreeze the cavemen. J'onn then tricks Hugo and uses the device on him. Instead of freezing the professor, Hugo is restored to normal by the device. J'onn then apprehends the criminal mastermind.
